Trump's Family Member Seeks Expert Advice from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA First Appearance

Emerging athlete getting ready for major competition

The rising star boasts considerable online presence

Kai Trump can count on numerous high-profile backers when she begins her LPGA debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika competition in Florida.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses multiple golf courses and frequently plays against his granddaughter.

"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we play some close matches," she mentioned.

The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, told her: "Simply avoid anxiety."

"He essentially advised me to go out there and have fun," she continued.

"In my eyes, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending this weekend. He's focused on presidential duties, making him somewhat preoccupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has played in a mere three competitions this year and has ranking 461 in AJGA standings.

However she's able to seek guidance from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Kai's mother.

"He represents the best player globally," the young golfer said.

"Additionally, he's a more impressive person. He suggested me to go out there, enjoy myself, following the flow."

She'll challenge some of top competitors in professional golf at the competition, featuring world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

Tournament organizers commented that Kai's presence exposes golf to new audiences, specifically among youth audiences.

Kai has a massive following and just introduced her own clothing and lifestyle company.

The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
