The commander-in-chief stated he’s discussed a visit to the White House for the loved ones of both individuals of the West Virginia Guard.
“I stated: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a tough thing, come to the White House. We’re going to honor her,” Trump told reporters. “And similarly with Andrew, whether he recovers or not.”
Attendees assembled over the past few days at Webster County high school in West Virginia to honor Beckstrom.
Both the soldiers had been working with the state guard as part of Trump’s national effort to aid public safety in DC.
“She was the kind of student that teachers desired. She behaved with quiet strength, a warm expression and a optimistic attitude that inspired those around her,” the principal, the leader of Beckstrom’s alma mater, informed the Associated Press. “She was caring, caring and always willing to help others.”
Memorial plans for Beckstrom are in the process of planning.

Wolfe, a resident of the city, began his service in February 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, according to the Associated Press.

Beckstrom, from her hometown, completed her education from Webster County High in June 2023 and began her service not long after, working as a MP with distinction, according to the West Virginia National Guard.
“She had a lot of compassion and she definitely had fortitude,” Morrisey informed the crowd at the vigil. “Though her life ended too soon, she has made an impact that’s going to last forever.”
