Agencies have escalated deliveries of tents, warm covers and garments since the halt in hostilities began, but they stress there is continues to be not enough aid entering.

"Agencies are working relentlessly to bring in that relief and to distribute it, but the size of the needs is so enormous that we are faced with a great number of individuals and children who are really struggling each evening," stated one spokesperson.

Long-Term Challenges and Truce Plans

The next stage of the ceasefire involves plans for the reconstruction of Gaza, along with post-war governance, the withdrawal of personnel, and other conditions.

Relief bodies have underscored the imperative for "greater and continuous humanitarian assistance to address pressing and ongoing needs."

The war was initiated by an attack in the autumn of 2023. Subsequent actions have caused a significant number of fatalities in the territory, based on official data.
