The midfielder Crosses on corner kicks and set-plays caused problems. Had freedom to move on the left only to be in an offside position when the ball arrived in shooting positions. Awarded a merited break after an hour. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Played in a high role down the right while also contributed with dirty work. Demonstrated moments of class and mishit an effort over. Substituted late on for Rogers, a fellow player, after being booked. Seven

The winger Was presented with England’s best chance in the opening period, his strike excellently kept out from the Albanian keeper. With Quansah hanging back, he had to stretch the play down the right side but his crosses from wide areas were hit and miss. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. Six

Harry Kane The difference-maker scoring two more goals in an England shirt. His first a typical opportunist's goal and his next a classy finish with his head having drifted away off his defender. At 32, he continues to improve and the side are strong contenders in the upcoming tournament with him up top. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Struggled to make an impact out wide. Was presented with a decent opportunity after being played in by the midfielder however Strakosha denied him. His replacement made much more of an impact when substituted. Five
