FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced finished work included a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted a public practice inside the stadium in early November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at the stadium. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
