Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
An official for the firm stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into allegations of questionable actions involving female individuals.
The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
To date, he has released more than 40 books combined, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
